relationships Slowing Down
Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 07:22AM Labor day has come and gone marking the end of summer. Kids are back in school, fantasy football teams are in place, and everyone's schedule seems to be jam packed with sporting events for the kids and work schedules that don't seem to end. In a world of fast-paced, instant gratification, 24-hour news, our worlds can easily get bombarded with things that take us away from what is most important - relationships. Relationships with spouses, kids, extended family, boyfriends, girlfriends and friends sometimes get neglected. Relationships don't grow unless they are attended to. This fall, make it a priority to slow down and invest in important relationships. Turn off the phone, TV, Computer, X-Box or whatever is in the way of time spent talking; and talk. Invest. Work through issues. Connect. Remember what is most important.
