Laura Demetrician - LMFT

Prior to moving to Orlando in 2010, Laura worked in a non-profit organization teaching relationship education, counseled couples in her private practice, and at times, was a stay-at-home-mom (by far the most challenging!). Laura and her husband have two wonderful children and she understands the challenges of having a marriage and family in this busy world.

Laura specializes in working with individuals and couples desiring change and growth in their relationships. She thoroughly enjoys working with people as they learn, challenge themselves, and strive for better emotional, spiritual, and relational health. Her approach is experiential, educational, and insight-oriented.

Laura’s educational experience includes a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California and a Bachelors Degree in Ministry and Sociology from Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida.

A large part of her life is her involvement in church ministry, as her husband, Adam, is a pastor. Laura and Adam are at Discovery Church in Orlando, where Adam is the Central Campus Pastor. Laura is passionate about helping ministry couples in their spiritual, emotional, and relational health.

Laura is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Florida and is a Clinical Member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
