Suggested Topics:
- The Past is Always Present
Our past has a powerful influence on how we live today, whether we acknowledge it or not. Problems result from moving to extremes... either denying/ignoring our past or becoming obsessed/entangled by it. How do we deal with failure? What do we need to understand about forgiveness and grace? This presentation addresses the need to acknowledge the past experiences of our lives in a way that moves us forward instead of holding us back.
- Peeling the Fake Away
Authenticity is a hallmark of healthy living, affecting not only our own personal well-being but also our relationship with God and others. Why does it become so necessary for us to mask what we truly think/feel? How can we become more authentic in our thoughts, words, and behaviors?
- Past the Ears to the Heart
Good communication is a key to building healthy, enjoyable relationships, but it takes more than just learning how to say the right words. Do you know how to reach someone's heart?
- Before & After an Affair
Affairs have an explosive effect on marriages, families, and friendships. The presentation takes an overview look at the changes that take place when an affair occurs and provides helpful suggestions for moving through the aftermath.
- Bliss & Boredom
Love seems to come naturally at the beginning of a relationship but often requires more work as time goes by. This presentation can be adapted to fit a specific group (Young Adults: How can we know if this is the love worth keeping? Will it last?; Pre-Married: What do we need to understand about ourselves now? How can we ensure a good marriage?; Married: What happened to what we once had? Can we get it back? How can I love him/her more effectively?) or a mixed audience.
