M. Lindsey Coates Horvatich – MA, LMHC, MH15982

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Lindsey is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with several years of experience in both private practice and community settings. After working in the non-profit marketing and public relations industry, she moved to Orlando to pursue a Master of Arts in Counseling and ended up staying in the sunshine state.

In the counseling room, Lindsey uses an eclectic mix of therapeutic approaches to build a safe and trusting space where men, women, couples, and families may explore life obstacles such as: substance and behavioral addictions, unipolar and bipolar depression, anxiety, mood disorders, sexual issues, gender issues, infidelity, fertility issues, marital issues, grief, abuse, trauma, and chronic illness. She is passionate about helping people find freedom from the obstacles and shame that stand between them and a life of healing.

For three years, Lindsey lead worship services, recovery groups, and taught classes on trauma and addiction in the Orange County Jail. She currently leads workshops and teaches different community groups how to respond to addiction, trauma, relational distress, and sexual issues. Lindsey is a member of Be the Bridge, a national group seeking racial reconciliation through community conversation, and has experience living and working with women who are exiting the sex trafficking industry. For six months, she lived as a house mom with women who were leaving the world of prostitution and drug trafficking.

Outside of the counseling room, Lindsey loves to cook, paint, read, discover new dog parks with her dog, “G”, and travel with her husband, Tim. Since she was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, Lindsey also enjoys returning to her hometown to visit family and get her fix of real BBQ, good music, and college basketball.
