Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Cathy loves helping people to move through difficult, even painful, life experiences more effectively in order to know more joy. She understands how untangling confusing and problematic emotions and relational experiences can lead to a stronger sense of self while dealing with the ups and downs of life.
Cathy provides an emotionally safe, empathic place to process daily struggles as well as deeper, more painful events, learning to live life more fully, no matterthe circumstances.
Through personal and professional experience, she has found that unhealthy thoughts and behaviors negatively affect every aspect of one’s life. Discovering where patterns began can help the process of bringing healing to the past as well as developing new ways of doing life and relationships. She also knows that having someone walk with you through the pain makes the healing process far less lonely.
Cathy is passionate about helping women feel comfortable in their own skin, embracing life and their own story. In particular, she loves sifting through intricate mother-daughter relationships, uncovering better ways of relating. Additionally, Cathy enjoys helping couples deal with conflict and difficult life events more effectively in order to create a more deeply connected, loving relationship.
Cathy completed her Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology at Palm Beach Atlantic University. She is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), a therapeutic resource designed to help individuals process trauma and troublesome life experiences.
Cathy worked as Women’s Ministry Pastor/Director at Discovery Church for over 9 years. She has been married for over 30 years, has two adult children, both married, two grandchildren and one grand-dog. Cathy is an avid reader, loves exercise, travel and spending time with her family and friends.
