We may know that past experiences don’t define us, but often our feelings don’t seem to get that message. We may know what we should do about our struggles, but we feel stuck.
Sarah guides clients in understanding how their life story has affected the way they view themselves and others. She believes that sitting with someone who empathetically listens to what is being said and unsaid creates a sense of felt safety that helps us to be honest with ourselves.
Sarah is trained in EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) which helps clients work through everything from daily stressors to significant trauma. She enjoys working with those who have lost a part of themselves, their voice, and don’t know their next steps towards change. She can help those connect with their spirituality in the aftermath of spiritual abuse. As a licensed Florida educator, she also brings over 20 years of experience working with children and is dedicated to supporting families who are struggling. Sarah utilizes play therapy from an attachment style approach to help children express their inner world.
Originally from Michigan, Sarah loves spending time in the Florida sun hiking with her husband or shooting hoops with her three children. She appreciates art, loves to read, and enjoys a good beat to dance to.
