Now Accepting New Clients!
It’s never too late. That is something Kathy knows from experience. She never would have guessed that she would find herself going back to school, in her fifties, to become a counselor. Now she affirms, “I love being a counselor because I feel like all of my experiences have prepared me for this work.”
Kathy’s life experience includes:
Kathy has a passion for helping clients discover that it’s never too late (or too early) to walk through life with more freedom. She wants people to be able to authentically know themselves, so that they have more freedom from common issues that can impact core relationships; such as self-doubt, low self-esteem, shame, anxiety, and depression. When we can look at the story of our lives with a trusted companion, we can discover a pathway of restoration. It can be hard, but the rewards of this work are so worth it.
Kathy has many tools that prepare her to be a Trusted Soul Care Companion for her clients doing their work of personal discovery, freedom and restoration. She has her own experience of having a counselor come alongside her. She will tell you that it made such a huge difference to have another person see past her self-doubt, anxiety, and feeling stuck.
She is also trained to use EMDR, one of the most effective ways to help people who have experienced trauma find freedom from reactivity and emotional dysregulation.
Being a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator (the work on wholehearted living by Dr. Brené Brown, author of Daring Greatly) has given Kathy the ability to help clients unlock courage, embrace vulnerability, and combat shame – all in service of helping clients authentically embrace who they were created to be.
Her certification as an Enneagram coach allows Kathy to use this powerful tool for understanding human dynamics to help clients recognize their patterns and find pathways for integration and freedom.
If you want more freedom in relationships, and greater freedom from self-doubt, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, trauma or just getting stuck in life, Kathy is prepared to walk alongside you as a trusted ally for the journey.
Kathy is married to her partner-in-adventure Bruce for 33 years, and has three adult children, an amazing son-in-law and an adored grandson. Outside of counseling, Kathy enjoys running, biking, gardening, traveling and meeting friends for coffee. Kathy has recently stepped out and is learning to paint!
