Jenna lives to discover the beautiful complexity of every individual she spends time with. A lifelong student of people, she was thrilled to learn in her adolescence that an entire field of study dedicated to exploring the human mind existed. After earning her undergraduate degree in psychology, Jenna worked with students and young adults, guiding them to discover their potential and develop tools to navigate the world around them. Acknowledging the uniqueness of each individual became invaluable for Jenna as she encouraged teenagers to embrace their authentic selves.
Upon returning to school to complete her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Jenna became more passionate about helping clients explore their inner world. She believes acceptance, empathy, and trust are foundational to the healing process. Through personal and professional experiences, Jenna understands the importance of acknowledging the unique cultural identity of her clients. She desires to help individuals increase awareness, freedom, and self-direction using a creative, client-centered approach to counseling. Jenna integrates relational and emotion-focused theory into sessions with children, adolescents, adults, and families dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship distress, trauma, and other issues.
Jenna enjoys huge slices of cake, her husband and three children, unintentional humor, hole-in-the-wall restaurants, running (slowly), warm bread and butter, deep dives on obscure topics, thrift shopping, and reading biographies and cookbooks. She would be honored to help you achieve the change you are seeking through counseling.
