Accepting new clients beginning June 2025!
Alex believes that because our deepest wounds are formed in relationships, it is also through relationships that we can experience profound healing. In his counseling, Alex prioritizes creating a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their stories and navigate their emotions. He understands that authentic connection and trust are foundational to emotional and relational restoration.
Approaching counseling through an attachment-based lens, Alex recognizes the lasting impact of early relationships on our sense of self and well-being. He integrates Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients build emotional awareness, cultivate self-compassion, and develop healthier relationships.
As an Asian American man, Alex is mindful of the complexities that come with navigating cultural expectations and identity. He offers culturally sensitive counseling that honors each client’s unique story and background, understanding how culture shapes emotional well-being and relationships.
Alex earned his Master of Arts in Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary. He is married to the love of his life, Veronica, and finds his greatest delight in spending time with her. Outside of counseling, Alex enjoys relaxing at local coffee shops, listening to indie and post-rock music, and engaging in meaningful conversations.
